Using customer research and product tests to decide what to build next.

I turn customer research into product decisions, requirements, experiments, and launches for AI products.

Portrait of Kai, outdoors in glasses and a jacket, looking at the camera.

I build AI products by talking directly with users, learning how their work gets done, and turning what I hear into priorities, requirements, tests, and launches.

I have used that approach across AI products, marketplace strategy, education programs, investment analysis, and a business I founded and operated. At TwelveApart, I publish enough of the work for others to see how a decision was made and what happened next.

Leading product from thesis to launch at Pier — discovery, AI product strategy, requirements, roadmaps, QA, and a multi-location pilot rollout with multi-state operators.

  • Set priorities for resume intake, reliability, latency, unit economics, and PostHog experimentation: cut extraction cost 91%, moved a roughly 60-second blocking flow toward a sub-30-second target, reduced projected voice cost 66% to lift projected gross margin from 58.5% to 85.9%, doubled onboarding retention from about 40% to 80%, and reduced churn from about 60% to 20%.
